Organic oats (oats sativa) are one of the most used cereals in food on all continents. It is one of the most consumed cereals in the world. Tasty and versatile, it is a real nutritional treasure: it is rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals.
Nutritionally, it is the cereal that provides the most protein. Its content in carbohydrates of slow absorption is high. It contains a large amount of soluble and insoluble fiber. It is low in fat but provides polyunsaturated fats, highlighting omega-6 and omega-3. It contains B vitamins including folic acid and vitamin E. It also provides iron, zinc, phosphorus, potassium and a little calcium.
It is recommended to leave the oats in organic beans to soak overnight and put 1 part oats with 4 parts of water with salt and cook for 1 hour and a half in a traditional pot. It can be used in salads or combined with other grains: rice, quinoa or couscous.
