Amla or amalaki is the name as the berry of the tree Phyllanthus emblica is known. Native to the tropical and subtropical areas of Asia. It is a medium tree with greenish-yellow flowers that are grouped together forming clusters and produce round greenish-yellow fruits with six bands drawn vertically.
