Semi-brown rice is distinguished from brown rice because the most fibrous superficial part of the grain has been removed from it, by means of a friction system.
Calasparra rice is the only rice with a Designation of Origin that guarantees the consumer its origin and quality. Its quality is manifested in its exquisite taste and hardness.
The quality and prestige of calasparra rice are a consequence of the characteristics of the area where it is grown: the purity of the water, the particular arrangement of the small plots in mountainous areas and bankruptcy of the Segura River and its tributary the Món River, the use of selected seeds and above all the organic farming system, which does not deplete the richness of the soil.
Instructions for use: This rice needs more water than others for its special qualities, with which more portions are obtained with the same amount raw. Three or four measures of broth or water must be placed for one of rice. Simmer for 20 minutes.
