Umeboshi produced in Japan following the traditional method. The plum of the ume variety is collected unripe and stored in salt and shiso leaves for quite some time. It is the shiso leaves that give the food its characteristic red color. Ideal for use in cooking with vegetables and cereals.
Ingredients: Japanese plums* (Ume plum) (79%), sea salt, Shiso leaves* (Perilla frutescens).
Allergens: It may contain traces of glutens and soybeans.

Use: Grind to become a puree to be used as a seasoning in the preparation of sauces. To make a drink, put in a cup a boneless Umeboshi plum and a tablespoon of Shoyu and add a cup of hot Kukicha.
