RECIPE: BRAMIBAL BROWNIES from Brammibal’s Donuts, Germany

8 people 40 min.
These super sweet and tasty Brammibal Brownies and go perfectly with a good coffee with milk or cappuccino. Brownies were originally created for use as an icing for double chocolate donut, but they are also delicious on their own.

Ingredients

  • 50 g Original Chocolate Virunga Beans 70% Minced
  • 150 g of flour for all use
  • 1 cup baking powder
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 250 g sugar
  • 80 g cocoa powder
  • 200 ml of water
  • 100 ml of neutral oil
  • 8 ml of vinegar
  • 160 g of oat milk
  • 50 g of chopped nuts (optional)
Brannibal Brownies

Preparation

  • In a large bowl mix flour, yeast and baking soda, sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Mix vinegar and oat milk in a bowl, stir gently and let stand for a few approx. 5 min. Vinegar will “curdle” the milk and act like an egg in the dough later.
  • After 5 minutes, add the mix of vinegar oat milk, water and neutral oil to the dry ones and mix until there are lumps left (use a blender or manual blender at the slowest level). Incorporate the chocolate and nuts you like.
  • Place baking paper on a baking sheet (24x20cm approx.), add the dough and bake in the oven at 160 degrees for approx. 15 min.
  • The dough should still feel very soft when you remove it. If you don’t like ‘fudgy’ so much, bake another 5 minutes.

“We decided on Original Beans chocolate because we want to use the best raw materials for our fritters. Its vegan chocolate convinced us with excellent quality and taste, but what makes it even better is the conscious production and preservation of its origins.”
