Officina Whitening Toothbrush Organic Naturae

The Officina Naturae whitening toothbrush is a manual brush with medium-hard filaments coated with calcium carbonate. It is sold individually, in a cardboard box, to be incorporated into your regular oral hygiene routine.

According to the manufacturer, the calcium carbonate coating is designed to help remove surface stains with regular use. The filaments have rounded tips. The name whitening describes this specific design and does not imply the promise of a specific tooth shade.

The handle is made of cellulose acetate, a plant-based material obtained from wood pulp and from a renewable source. The manufacturer describes it as biodegradable; this characteristic refers to the handle and does not prove that the entire brush is compostable.

The product sheet includes the Vegan and Made in Italy labels. The documented composition allows the identification of the material of the handle and the coating of the filaments, but does not specify the base material.

How to use it: moisten the brush, add a small amount of toothpaste and brush from the gum towards the tooth. The manufacturer recommends replacing it every month to maintain the characteristics of the whitening coating.

Waste management: the manufacturer indicates throwing the entire brush in the waste fraction, not in the plastic packaging fraction, and depositing the cardboard case in the paper collection. Its indication of organic collection is limited to the handle separated from the filaments and reduced to small fragments. Always check the collection rules in your municipality before following these instructions.
