Ricotta 200gr Mas Guri

Description

Ricotta Mas Guri is a fresh cheese made from cow's whey, pasteurized cow's milk and salt. The traditional ricotta process takes advantage of the whey and reheats it to obtain a particular, soft and slightly grainy texture.

Visually it has a white color and a creamy but light consistency. Its taste is delicate, milky and slightly sweet, a combination that allows it to be used in both savory dishes and sweet preparations without being excessively intense.

It is especially versatile in cooking. It can be incorporated into pasta or lasagna dishes, used as a filling, spread on toast or added to salads. It also combines with vegetables, aromatic herbs, fruit, honey, nuts or extra virgin olive oil.

Its texture allows you to add creaminess to recipes without needing particularly heavy sauces. It can be used directly cold or incorporated into cooked preparations, depending on the type of dish.

Mas Guri identifies this reference as vegetarian and gluten-free. The recipe, however, contains milk and dairy products, since both whey and pasteurized cow's milk are part of the composition.

Nutritionaly it mainly provides fats and proteins, with a reduced amount of carbohydrates. For every hundred grams it provides more than nine grams of protein. The salt content is moderate compared to other types of more mature cheeses.

A particularly practical fresh cheese proposal to have in the fridge and use indiscriminately in breakfasts, main courses, appetizers or desserts.
