Superfine white clay 200 g Cattier

Cattier superfine white clay comes in a 200 g format and contains Kaolin, an ingredient of 100% natural origin. Its neutral pH makes it particularly suitable for caring for dry and sensitive skin. It can be used to prepare beauty masks, poultices and baths.

To prepare the paste, pour the desired quantity of clay into a non-metallic container and add enough water, preferably mineral water, to cover it completely. Leave to rest for about half an hour, then stir with a non-metallic spatula until a fine paste forms.

For a face mask, apply a thick layer to the face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Leave on for about 15 minutes without allowing it to dry completely. Rinse with lukewarm water, dry with a cotton towel and complete the routine with a suitable Cattier moisturiser.

For a poultice, use a non-metallic spatula to spread a 1-centimetre layer of clay onto a natural fabric. Apply directly to the skin and secure with a soft bandage. If the skin is irritated, place a thin gauze between the clay and the skin. Remove when the poultice is almost dry, rinse away any remaining clay with lukewarm water and dry with a cotton towel.

For a bath, mix one to two tablespoons of clay with mineral water in a large glass, stir with a non-metallic spoon and add to the bathwater. Never use alcohol or eau de cologne to remove the poultice: use only lukewarm water. Avoid contact between the clay and metal utensils.
