Solgar Alpha-Lipoic Acid 200 mg provides 200 mg of alpha-lipoic acid per capsule, in a single daily dose. Lipoic acid is formed naturally in the body and is present in foods such as red meat, carrots, beetroot, spinach and broccoli, although there it is usually bound to other substances that make it harder to absorb. It is distributed throughout the body, mainly in the liver, heart and kidneys.
