The Nyàmeres, a typical product of Berguedà, are grown on their own and stand out especially for their delicacy and for being very healthy and beneficial for the liver, diuretic and with a high fiber and iron content. With a peculiar flavor reminiscent of artichokes (when cooked) and potatoes (when raw), yams are currently a very popular product, especially by great chefs, who have rescued their use. Even so, they stand out for being much healthier than potatoes since they do not contain starch and, therefore, are ideal for diabetics. In addition, they provide liver benefits, are diuretics and contain a high content of fiber and iron.
