The winter was dry and hot, with a very cold week in February that marked the beginning of the vineyard cycle.
The spring also started dry and warm, with a spot frost in April that did not affect the vineyard in a general way but did stress the vineyard in some places.
The drought and high temperatures continued until May and mid-June, when episodes of cold weather and storms arrived that relieved the water stress and recharged the water reserves in the soil, with some light hail and no major damage.
The flowering coincided with rainy days and this caused some landslides, slightly reducing the harvest but providing more concentration to the remaining grapes.
A heat wave at the end of June and a very hot and dry summer favored rapid ripening and very good health, with healthy and well-ripened fruits. concentrates.
In September, new storms partially alleviated the drought and only a few minor botrytis spots appeared, maintaining the overall quality of the harvest.
The result is a vintage wine with 12.8% vol. alcohol, good freshness and a balanced profile, the result of a demanding but very expressive vintage.
