This short-grain rice, Seleni variety, stands out for having properties very similar to the Japonica rice traditionally used in Japan. Thanks to its ability to absorb water and release the right amount of starch during cooking, it allows for a slightly sticky and soft texture, ideal for shaping nigiris, makis or other preparations.

It is grown organically in the Piedmont region, in the northwest of Italy, an area with a great rice tradition, also known for the production of risotto rice. This origin guarantees a product that has been carefully processed, respecting natural rhythms and with high quality standards.
